Highlights of P.P. Sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu's pravachan on Ramrajya

2:00 - 4:00 : Quiz contest "Imtihaan Shraddhavaan Ka"

The organizers came up with a novel quiz contest called "Imtihaan Shraddhavaan ka" in the post-lunch session. The pramukh sevak played the anchor in this quiz. The Shraddhavaans were rendomly divided into three groups named "Bapu", "Nandai", and "Suchit Dada". The quiz had six rounds overall and it was based on Bapu, Sanstha activities, The Grantharaj, Matruvatsalya Vindanam, Shree Ramrasayan, and Shree Sai SatCharit. Questions like how many times does one write "Ram"naam in one Ramnaam book, what does the acronym DMV stand for, tested the general awareness of Shraddhavaan. In a bitterly fought contest that went down to the last few questions the "Suchit Dada's" team emerged as the winner.

The quiz was followed by Maha Mangal Aarti, Gajars, and Aniruddha path. The celebrations concluded with Paduka Darshan.

MAHISHASURMARDINI USTAV (9 - 17 August 09)

MAHISHASURMARDINI USTAV will be celebrated at Shri Gurukshetram, Khar from 9th to 17th August '09.

The Poojan will be done by P.P. BAPU and HIS DIVINE FAMILY as per 'Tripurarahasya ' , as told by Shri Dattatrey to Parashuram. The Poojan will start every day at morning 11 a.m. and will continue up to afternoon 1: 30 p.m. Afterwards there will be 'Havan' whole day up to sun set with chanting of Stotras. We can visit Shri Gurukshetray during any of these 9 days (or all as per our convenience) and take Darshana of Shri MAHISHASURMARDINI and participate in the chanting. The detail information (in Marathi) about this Ustav, its importance and what we have to do there is as per the file.

As a preparation of this Ustav, P.P. BAPU has ask us to chant the mantra "ॐ नमश्चंडिकायै" from 8th July to 8th August '09 (one month) every day 108 times.

In the pravachan on Thursday, July 2 2009, P.P. Bapu said that this chanting can be done even when (a) we are travelling, (b) we are wearing chappal/shoes, (c) we have not taken the bath. HE explained the importance of name 'Chandika'. HE said that 'PARAMATMA ' obeys all the rules set by 'PARAMESHWAR' even in extreme situation. The shortcoming (ABHAV) of not obeying HIS rules is the root cause of all problems in human being's life. The name ' Chandika ' is such that it will remove this shortcoming from our life and that is the reason , we have to chant this name. P.P. BAPU added that SHE is MY MOTHER, and all of you should chant HER name with love. HE said that who else can give guarantee of mother than his own son. So, get set and started, "केल्याने होत आहे रे आधी केलेची पाहिजे".

Hanuman Mahotsav, 11 - 17, May 2009, Gurukshetram

Hari Om

Similar to last year, this year also 'HANUMAN MAHOSTAV' is being celebrated at Gurukshetram, i.e. Happy Home, Khar- West from 11th to 17th May '09.

Every day 108 devotees will be chanting Hanuman Chalisa 108 times from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in front of Srimat Purushartha Purushotam Yantra.

P.P. BAPU informed that this ' Yantra ' is unique in the entire Universe as HE is unique. The main feature of this 'Yantra ' is to give ' Kshama' to 'Mahapapi' also, provided he surrenders, admits his mistakes/sins in front of 'Yantra' and does his best not to repeat the mistakes.

One should visit Gurukshetram at least once during these 7 days and take Darshan of Yantra, chant Hanuman Chalisa and admit mistakes in front of Yantra. We can offer coconut and take half as 'Prasad' back home.

Those who are unable to visit Gurukshetram can chant Hanuman Chalisa at least once everyday during these 7 days imagining that they are sitting in front of 'Yantra' and also admit mistakes.

Blood Donation Camp April 12, 2009

An Annual Mega Blood Donation Camp has been organised by Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation alongwith its sister organizations Dilasa Medical Trust and Rehabilitation Center, Aniruddha Samarpan Pathak, Aniruddhas Academy of Disaster Management on Sunday 12th April 2009 from 9AM to 6PM at IES New English High School, Govt Colony, Bandra(E), Mumbai.

Some Myths and realities about Blood Donations
  • Myth #1: Someone else will donate all the blood that's needed.
  • Reality #1: If only it were true. The Annual blood requirement of Mumbai city itself is about 2.5 – 3 Lakhs of bottles. Thus by donating blood we can share this load and serve humanity.
  • Myth #2: It hurts.
  • Reality #2: Okay, maybe it does---a little. Far less than getting ears pierced, though, and only briefly. There may be a little sting when the needle is inserted, but there should be no pain during the donation. And remember that donating blood hurts a lot less than having someone you care about need blood and not get it because it's not there.
  • Myth #3: I am too young/ too old/ unhealthy
  • Reality #3: Any Male or Female within the age group of 18 and 60, weighing over 45 kg and having haemoglobin content more than 12.5 gm% is fit to donate blood.
  • Myth #4: I may suffer from some harmful effects after donating blood donation
  • Reality #4: Absolutely not, rather a donor after having given blood voluntarily gets a feeling of great pleasure, peace and bliss. Soon, within a period of 24 - 48 hours, the same amount of new blood gets formed in the body, which helps the donor in many ways. His own body resistance improves, the circulation improves, and he himself feels healthier than before.
  • Myth #5: I may need a lot of rest after donating blood.
  • Reality #5: You may need rest, preferably lying down, so that the amount of blood that has been donated soon gets poured into the circulation from the body pools in a natural way. You should take it easy for about 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Myth #6: I may not be able to work after donating blood.
  • Reality #6: Routine work is absolutely fine after the initial rest. Rigorous physical work should be avoided for a few hours.
  • Myth #7: It may take too long for the body to replenish the blood
  • Reality #7: The body replaces blood volume or plasma within 24 hours. Red cells need about four to eight weeks for complete replacement.
  • Myth #8: I am/was suffering from some diseases, hence I cannot donate blood
Reality #8: You are right, you should enquire about specific diseases rather than assuming otherwise. Following is an incomplete list of diesases that prevent you from donating blood. Fever: You should not have suffered from fever for the past 15 days. Jaundice: You should not have your blood tested positive for AUSTRALIA ANTIGEN. Blood transmitted diseases: Like Syphilis, Malaria, Filaria etc. debar you from donating blood till you are treated and are free from them. Drugs: If you take drugs like Aspirin, anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetics, hormones, corticosteroids etc., you are unfit to donate blood. AIDS: No person having HIV positive can be allowed to donate blood.
  • Myth #9: They ask embarrassing questions.
  • Reality #9: Okay, some of the questions are personal, but they have to be. The screening personnel are very professional and are not judgmental. Their only goal is to ensure a safe blood supply for our patients and a safe donation experience for our donors.

Generally the donors are rejected due to lack of haemoglobin in blood. To increase the haemoglobin levels in blood, follow the below mentioned diet.

  1. Green Vegetables
  2. Sprouts
  3. Green peas, pumpkin, tomato
  4. Fruits and salads
  5. Grains like Corn, wheat, raggy malt, dry-fruits, jaggery
  6. Sweets like murabba (Jam), and Khir
  7. ***Avoid tea***

Care to be taken prior to blood donation:

  1. Take a sound sleep at night
  2. Take your regular breakfast/meals
  3. Please do not take the medicines like homeopathic/ayurvedic medicines and tablets like crocin, Disprin, Combiflam unless necessary.

Hanuman Jayanti, Thursday, 09/04/2009: excerpts from P.P. Bapu's Discourse

Extract from Preface to the book: The Third World War

Extract from the Preface to the book The Third World War, by Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi.

"There is no doubt that over the next twenty to twenty-five years, conflict will become an aspect of everyday doings in every region on earth. Values based on theory or principles will have no place whatsoever in this conflict and `survival of the fittest' will, on the contrary, be the only commandment. Thus, although political games and secret conspiracies are going to be sure directives, quantitative power that can resort to aggression, violence and extreme ruthlessness is going to prove more dominant and successful in the conflict for a long time to come. Once the war begins and more and more allies begin to take their stand on either side, the open and defiant violation of all ethics, one after another along with that of restraint begins with equal pace. Then there comes a stage when neither side feels the need to give any moral justification of its deeds, not even a superficial one. This is what has already started to happen and with every coming year, such instances are going to mount rapidly...

In the coming times, the equation of today might not be valid tomorrow and what was valid at seven in the morning might be flung right out of the window, after its purpose is served, at five past seven..."

Indian Diplomatic Manouvers of 2008

1. Indo-US Nuclear Deal
The social and economic prosperity of a nation depends, to a large extent, upon its energy security. The recent truckers' and petroleum industry officials' strike demonstrated how crippling can the effect of energy shortage be on the economy. Energy security has been the reason for many of the wars fought in the past. The recently signed Indo-US nuclear deal is of course a step in the direction of India's Energy security. But this deal will form the basis for an extended and broad cooperation between the largest and the oldest democracies in the world in all fronts, be it social, economic, political, commercial, defense or security. This cooperation between India and US will play an important role in the events that will unfold in coming times as studied briefly in the editorial appearing in Marathi Daily Pratyaksha dated Oct 3, 2008. Its translation follows.

Congratulations and Celebration
(Editorial in Pratyaksha by ParamPoojya Aniruddha Bapu (Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi), dated Oct 3, 2008)

The investigations in the aftermath of 9/11 led the US to realize the main mistakes it had committed in their dealings with Pakistan. They realized for the first time since the Second World War that even after giving a helping hand to Pakistan for so many years, Pakistan is much closer to China. Further they also gauged the danger posed by the China-Pakistan-North Korea triad.

In the mean while China had silently but steadily made enormous economic progress. It had extended its economic ties with many countries in Africa and South America. The events happening in North Korea around 2004 also displayed the military might of China. In this scenario US was left with only one reliable option -- `India'.

Therefore since the latter half of 2004, US started to improve its relations with India. It started considering India as a key ally in formulating its policies in various commercial, political, cultural and defense fields.

As and how the Indo-US ties became stronger, it became easier for US to get key intelligence information about the activities of China-Pakistan-North Korea triad. This led US to gauge how these cruel and greedy nations can influence the activities in next decade.

Rapidly changing political and economic equations started affecting each and every nation. India also realized that rather than blindly opposing US it is important to watchfully cooperate with it. Slowly the Indian Government started taking positive stand towards US, and this stand helped the Bush Administration. Both countries having realized the same truth around the same time made many things easier. Both parties
also realized that until and unless India and US got signed a Nuclear Deal, all other means of cooperation can just satisfy 1% of the purpose. Without it in future both the countries would have been rendered weaker and ineffective.

In the events of the now impending Third World War, the removal of crippling clauses from the Nuclear Deal text by US senate and the people associated with it -- George Bush, Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Condoleeza Rice -- and their roles would be very important constituents.

Any international deal is never 100% safe. It has some dangers associated with it. The leadership has to go ahead keeping in mind the inherent pitfalls of the deal and it has to make correct and strong decisions to avoid the pitfalls. And the Indian leadership has successfully done this until now...

This Nuclear Deal will make both India and US stronger and more capable. Many political parties have not, as of now, perceived the enormous boost to Indian economy that this deal could provide. Within eighteen months of the signing of this deal, Indian economy would start flourishing. This what the study of unbiased eminent economists has revealed.

Most importantly, the China-Pakistan-North Korea will not be able to perform its activities secretly. This might either spark off the third world war or douse it. But the former seems to be a possibility.

My dear shraddhavan friends, let us today chant `Ghorkashtoddharan Stotra' at least once for this Nuclear Deal which is of utmost important for the security and prosperity of our very beloved Mother India.

Congratulations Shri Bush and Shri Manmohan Singh.

2. Indo-France Nuclear Deal

(Source of this information: Daily Pratyaksha, Oct 1, 2008)
While the Indo-US Nuclear Deal is under discussions, India and France have entered into civilian nuclear deal thus ending 34 years of India's isolation in nuclear trade. France has thus become the first nation to sign nuclear pact with India, and this will take the bilateral relations between the two countries to higher level.

The nuclear deal with France will enable India to get access to nuclear reactors, fuels and related technology. India has been denied access to this technology after it conducted nuclear tests at Pokhran in 1975. Many countries had imposed sanctions on nuclear trade with India in the aftermath of these nuclear tests. These sanctions were lifted at the NSG meet thus paving the way for Indo-US nuclear deal. While the Indo-US deal is still being discussed at the US congress, France has ceased the opportunity to broaden its bilateral relations with India by an Indo-France civilian nuclear deal.

In addition to the nuclear deal India and France entered into several other pacts that will bolster economic, social and cultural cooperation between the two countries. Among these, are the social security pact and the pact to improve cooperation between India's space organization ISRO and France's space organization Astrium.

3. Successful Launch of Chandrayaan

On Wednesday October 22nd, 2008, India successfully launched the Chandrayaan, thrusting India into the elite club nations with mighty presence on moon. ISRO chairman Madhavan Nair described this as the "Historic moment for the Nation". In collaboration with the Russian Space organization ISRO is now preparing for the launch of Chandrayaan-II by 2010. Success of Chandrayaan has received wide applause from different quarters of the globe. "American scientists are more than eager to collaborate in the subsequent stages of the Chandrayaan mission", said David Mullford -- US Ambassador to India. The successful landing of MIP on lunar surface took ISRO to the elite club of three other organizations, US, Russian and European Sapce Research Organizations, to have achieved this unique technological and scientific feat.

Space research is a very complex and costly scientific activity, the main reason being the lack grasp of the surroundings in which the engineered system has to operate. As such it is ecenomically unviable for developing nations to venture in it. The fact that Chandrayaan was the lunar expsdition with lowest budget, among other such missions carried out in the past, only demonstrates the the scientific and engineering might of scientists involved in the mission.

Success of Chandrayaan-I marks the beginning of ISRO's venture in Space related business. Talk about the projects to launch satellites of 4 nations. Space and nuclear will attract heavy investments in coming days and ISRO's recent success demonstrate that India will not be just the importer but also exporters in this trade. I am sure this will lend stability and prosperity to Indian economy.

Advances in Space and Nuclear technologies will determine the superpower in coming days. As such, nations will be pitted against each other on these fronts. God forbid nations from using these technological advances for destructive purposes. For more details on Space and Nuclear Warfare refer to the excellent book on The Third World War.

4. Indo-Japan Defence and Economic Cooperation Deal
On October 22, 2008, India and Japan signed important pacts regarding defence and economic cooperation. Japanese investors have welcomed this move between the two nations. There has been no agreement in any form of nuclear cooperation, though. The Prime Ministers of the two nations, Manmohan Singh and Taro Aso, asserted that the economic and defence cooperation deal is not targetted against any nation and that they do not intend to target China. Aso further added that "There is no competition between India and China. The world is big and both these nations have great opportunities for development."

5. Largest Indo-US Defence Deal

(Source: Daily Pratyaksha Dec 30, 2008)
On the backdrop of 26/11 Mumbai attacks and rising tensions between India and Pakistan, India has entered into the largest Defense deal with US. According to this deal US will provide India with eight long range Boeing P-8I planes. These planes, which will be inducted in the Indian Navy, will be used for the monitoring of high seas. India invested eight thousand five hundred crore Rupees in this deal. India will receive these planes in a phased manner between 2011 and 2015. These planes will be equipped with modern radar, harpoon missiles, tornado and depth bombs. To strengthen Indian defense India has entered into an agreement with US to procure six C-130J super hercules fighter planes. These two Defense deals in quick succession that US has made with India is an indicator of strengthening Defense cooperation between the two countries.

SUCH ARE THE TIMES…

(Editorial by ParamPoojya Aniruddha Bapu (Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi) in Daily Pratyaksha dated December 24, 2008)
Every single nation in the world, right from the United States to any small nation is fully convinced that Pakistan is the chief supporting structure of the terrorist network in the world.

Owing to the terrorist activity in the region near its border, China too would rather stay away from 'this nuisance'. However, owing to the gigantic ambition in every field on the part of both China and North Korea, they feel compelled to be one up on the United States, India, Russia and the European Union. In order to achieve this China also finds it essential that the United States, India, Japan and the European nations be subjected to constant uncertainty and this is precisely what binds the devious triad China-North Korea-Pakistan together.

China wants to become the topmost military and economic power in the world. North Korea wants to gulp down South Korea and then top up, if possible, this satisfying meal with morsels of the neighboring nations as well. As for Pakistan, it nurses a wish to banish the superiority and the authority of Saudi Arabia and grab sway at a different and more comprehensive level.

The ambitions of all of these three nations thus converge in the same direction. Besides one does not stand in the way of the other, which is the one main reason that keeps them together. It is in fact their need.

Moreover, that India ought to attack and put Pakistan in its place is not only India's need but also that of the United States, of Saudi Arabia and the European Union. Owing to the fact that both Russia and Japan have a very clear idea of China's plans, not to mention the fruits of terrorism that Russia has had to taste, they are very keen on thwarting China's ally.

In order to conserve its position on the political scene, Saudi Arabia has to mutely toe the line that India and the United States adopt.
....and it is precisely these circumstances or rather the fact that the pieces have fallen in these respective places at this particular moment, that all of these nations not only give consent to the 'surgical strike' by India but are even willing to co-operate in the matter.
....and this is precisely why Pakistan's nuclear equipment need not at all intimidate India. Also, one single nuclear weapon launched by the rash military officers of Pakistan against India will activate all nations possessing nuclear weapons, except China, in India's favour.
....and this is precisely what the Pakistan government fears as much as the senior military officers and the I.S.I. Therefore this kind of an act is what only the terrorists, who do not foresee this fact, could do. However, the irony of the present situation is that it has become a must for the Pakistan military to see to it that such an act does not happen.

Although experts comply with this opinion, we cannot be ignoring the fact that a number of terrorist have spread their limbs in various regions of Pakistan which causes the United States and Saudi Arabia to exert enormous pressure on Pakistan in India's favour until the end of war.

Although destroying terrorist camps, bases in Pakistan and in Pakistan occupied Kashmir remains the prime objective of this 'surgical strike', it is very much the desire of the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia and the European Union that India should go ahead and liberate Baluchistan and not restrict itself to it.

Actually speaking the liberation of Baluchistan could work in favour of the rest of Pakistan and in other words in favour of the democratic government as well because Baluchistan has proved to be nothing but a nuisance for Pakistan over the past so many years. But then, should Baluchistan be liberated, the boundaries of Pakistan would change in such a way that the equations relating to the intimacy of the terrorists with Pakistan would be upset and as a result it would not be as easy for Pakistan to give shelter and support to terrorists as it is now.

Moreover, both Pakistan and the Pakistan media are very much aware that no nation in the world will so much as take note of the uproar that they have stirred up. But then they have to keep making crude remarks against India just to boost the morale of the people of Pakistan or in other words, to win their support.

The Indian Airforce is going to play a major role in this war and so Pakistan too is looking to ready its airforce. Pakistan cannot hope to procure extra fighter planes and allied weapons from any nation except for China and if at all China has the guts to do so, it will be inviting infinite trouble on the economic front. Should India, the United States and the European nations decide to ban entry of Chinese goods even for three months, there could be tremendous upheaval in China. And China obviously does not want to invite this hassle, at least not now. But China will for sure, extend as much help as it can through the back door merely in order to maintain friendship with Pakistan; but again only until it gains strong ground in the economic field. The moment China gains total economic independence with the help of the South American countries and Africa, China can turn extremely mean and that is what it is going to be. If it so happens that China encounters no obstacle in its path, it can attain this position in a mere five year period and in that case, curbing China's ambitions will prove an extremely difficult task.

Therefore as India immobilizes China's bosom pal, it becomes imperative for the United States and the allies to take Russia into confidence and wipe out the authority of China as also the terrorist impact in the South American countries and in Africa. But then here again India needs to act the mediator as neither the Latin American nations nor the African nations would want to put complete trust in the United States and that is precisely where India and Russia could prove useful.

The meet of Indian ambassadors to 122 nations that the Indian minister for foreign affairs called, was not merely to hand over proof pointing to Pakistan's terrorism; it was definitely for exploring various ways of co-operating with the nations, who pledge to support India. This meet is a fruit of the prudence exhibited by the Indian government, the ruling and the opposition parties and the senior government officials of India. Further, it is also proof that India has now mastered the skill of making use of an available opportunity. Now what India needs to urgently master, is to create an opportunity where it does not exist i.e. promote goodwill and cooperation in its favour in the Latin American and the African countries.

As all of these events unfold, 'Parvez Musharraf' is the name we cannot lose sight of because this person's political ambitions are boundless and they can take flight at any moment. But for the present moment at least, the democratic government of Pakistan, the Pakistan military and the I.S.I. are in no mood to shake hands with Mr. Parvez Musharraf and the United States can make good use of this.

There now remains just the one person, who can save Pakistan from destruction and that is Mr. Nawaz Sherif. Had Mrs. Benazir Bhutto been alive, this would have been easier. the politicians and the military officers of Pakistan, wanting to save their country, will have to call in Mr. Nawaz Sherif or if need be, even Mrs. Bhutto's son (Bilawal Bhutto) and then plan the future line of action. The only fear that looms large is, that if this does not happen, the power in Pakistan will pass over once again to the reckless and hot-headed militant leaders. But then all said and done, it is for Pakistan to decide.

There is absolutely no doubt that the war will happen. Therefore friends, in the following article, let us study the effects of war. Every true Indian citizen must indeed be aware of his responsibility, what good is it to merely shout slogans that 'we want war' and rejoice when war begins?

ALERT

Excerpts of the Editorial by ParamPoojya Aniruddha Bapu (Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi) in Daily Pratyaksha dated December 25, 2008.

‘War, be it of any kind, is best avoided as far as possible’. However, when the destruction resulting from the avoidance of war is far more horrific than that resulting from the aftermath of war, ‘war’ is the inevitable option.

Diplomacy, mediation, dialogue, Bhagvan Shreekrishna did it all in the Mahabharat as Mahaprabhu Hanumant did in the Ramayan, in order to avoid war. Both Shreekrishna and Shreehanumant were well aware that the enemy they were faced with was extremely devious and heartless and did not have the slightest repentance over any wrong and yet these two great beings, epitomes of morality and value, offered to Duryodhan and to Ravan respectively, a chance to avoid the war.
....and this precisely is the tradition of the Indian culture. The Indian culture is basically not the war-hungry or the aggressive kind, it considers ‘non-violence’ to be a venerable principle in every way. However, submitting to those, who trample the principles of morality and non-violence, is not the mindset of the Indian civilization either. On the contrary, history tells us time and again that firm and strict action has been taken against those, who kick around the principles of morality and non-violence.

Lord Shreekrishna, who seemed inclined to mediate, later, on the failure of mediation, went on to instruct Arjuna in no uncertain terms, "तस्मात् उत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयः" (‘So then rise Arjun, O son of Kunti, be determined and with a firm resolve, prepare for war’)

In the present situation too, India is standing by its ancient culture and its values in making its moves. Pakistan imposed four wars on India, in 1948, 1965, 1971 and 1999. Apart from these, Pakistan has brought about terrorist attacks in various places in India and thus since 1980, i.e. over 28 years, kept fanning the embers of unrest and uncertainty to keep them alive. The attack on Mumbai just cracked the threshold of the Indian’s tolerance. Many are under the wrong impression that it is the attack on ‘Mumbai’ that has triggered this talk of war against Pakistan. Kashmir sees these sort of episodes day in and day out but India never talked of war. So then why talk of war only now?

The issue that India is faced with, is not just Kashmir or Mumbai, it is that of Pakistan’s continual policy of impeding India’s progress and for the purpose, of constantly causing damage to India. One might well say, ‘it has indeed been Pakistan’s policy to do so ever since its birth i.e. since 14th August 1947.’ Then why does India feel the need to go to war now?

The answer is straightforward and simple - every single field in Pakistan is passing over to the hands of terrorist groups.

The destructive terrorist activity not just in India but all over the world thrives on energy sources that can be traced to Pakistan. What else can one infer from the Taliban’s clear proclamation -- ‘we are with Pakistan’! So then Pakistan is no more a mere nation, it is a training school for international terrorism. And India is going to bear the maximum brunt of this. And so it is extremely essential that India takes action against it.

Is it really possible that Pakistan would on its own, give up causing bomb blasts and terrorist attacks all over India like it did in Mumbai? Not at all. Therefore it would be relatively easier and advisable to face ‘the known devil - the danger of war’. Or else, these products of the terrorist schools of Pakistan will keep causing bomb blasts and other destruction and then no Indian would be sure that a fellow Indian leaving home in the morning will return home safe in the evening. …

The United States never wants war on its own soil and that is a fact in history. However, terrorist activity has long since scrapped this norm of the United States. So then statements like the United States are imposing its own war on to India, reducing it to a mere puppet’ only go to imply political immaturity. The India of today is by no means young and so incompetent and helpless like it was in 1962, India’s military and economic strength does not at all depend on American favour, thanks to its position in the international political and the economic scene, the United States just cannot tie down India like they tied down Pakistan.

The capacities of the politicians of Pakistan and that of its officials stand no comparison at all with the democratic politics in India and the prudence of government officials belonging here. Therefore, any step that India takes counting on the backing by the United States, cannot amount to fetters for India.

If India did launch the ‘surgical attack’ as stated in yesterday’s article, it would become essential for every Indian citizen to extend support to the Indian government and to the Indian army. India has indeed done it during the wars that happened in the past. However, the wars of the past and the war in the times to come, differ greatly in their technique and principles. …
